HealthSound is the Community Health Lottery for Surrey
So far, money raised by HealthSound has meant funding of £177,365 for health related good causes in your area, with more to come.
Local organisations who have benefitted from monies raised by HealthSound include The Organic Cookery School Ltd, Dementia UK and Mencap.
HealthSound’s first Health Lottery draw was held in February 2012. One of the great things about our Community Health Lottery is the speed with which the money gets directly to where it’s needed.
The next HealthSound Community Health Lottery takes place on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 – don’t miss out on the chance of £100,000 and the opportunity to help health causes in our area!
The CICs were established and are conducted to tackle health inequalities in their local areas. HealthSound is your Community Health Lottery, and we want to hear from our community at large, and smaller groups within the community, as to where you would like the money to go.
We’ve made the following grants to both local projects across our area and well-known charities that work locally, these grants include:-
Dementia UK, Year 2 £45,000
Runnymede Dementia Carers Support Group: £5,000
The Organic Cookery School Ltd: £8,447
Mediation North Surrey: £5,340
Alzheimer’s Society: £22,548
Dementia UK: £60,000
Mencap: £31,030
